Overcoming fear of flying is best accomplished in a series of steps.

1.  Share your story:

  • Admit you are a fearful flyer.
  • You can’t fix what you don’t acknowledge.
  • Be assured that you are not alone in your fear.  Despite what others tell you, you’re not stupid or someone to be made fun of.
  • Read the Fearless Flight blog; leave your comments.

2.  Educate yourself:

  • Knowledge is power–learn all you can about your fear and flying.  The articles in our knowledge base contain good basic information that will increase your knowledge and help ease your fear.
  • Sign up for the Cleared for Takeoff Newsletter.
  • Learn skills and strategies to overcome your fear of flying.

3.  Learn how to change your thoughts:

  • Learn how to manage your thoughts.

  • Changing the content and quality of your thoughts will help you become empowered with information which will help to ease your anxious thoughts.
