Chances are you’ve heard about the recent Ethiopian Air crash involving a Boeing 737-800 Max 8. Although a full investigation will take months to complete, that hasn’t stopped the news media from making assumptions and semi-educated guesses. “If it bleeds, it leads.”

The Max 8 is currently grounded while officials work to determine whether or not the MCAS was to blame, causing the aircraft to rapidly descend and to eventually crash in same way Lion Air flight 610 crashed last October 29.

With all this news coverage, it’s hard to not feel anxious about air travel. The good news? Capt. Ron spent some time discussing the recent news coverage with a reporter from USA today.

In the meantime, if the thought of boarding a plane in the wake of current news cycle makes your palms sweat, there’s hope.
